Illustrated Seasonal Calendars, Traditional Church Year

Happy New Year–today’s the perfect day to talk about calendars, of course!

If you’ve got a young family, you won’t want to miss the wonderful work done by Michaela Harrison, a Catholic wife and mother living near–and very inspired by!–Clear Creek Abbey in Oklahoma. Even if you don’t have children at home, your own faith will be deepened and grown by the lovingly detailed visual Church Season calendars at Liturgy of the Home.

The calendars are purchased online at the site, as digital downloads that currently cost $8 per order. You can then download and print, cut and fasten together the pages of each calendar to make a striking and gorgeous seasonal display.

Here is a picture of our calendar for Christmastide attached to the altar cloth on our home’s Oratory. Each day my little one moves a sticker to the new day, traveling through the season with the saints and holy days. It’s been splendid!

I hope you will try one and enjoy as well–the Epiphany calendar should be ready soon!
